Bartlett Photography and Design is a
company based out of the Chesterfield/Richmond, Virginia
area. We are two brothers, Rusty and Matthew Bartlett,
who have a passion for the creative arts. Rusty Bartlett
is a professional photographer and graphic designer, and
Matthew Bartlett is a professional graphic designer and
illustrator, both of whom have over a decade of
experience in their respective fields.
The company started without a name
and was primarily based around graphic design. We
created small websites for local groups, including a
skate team and car clubs, and created graphics for
t-shirts and other goods. Photography became a larger
part of our work with sports photography, mostly
skating, and ended up being the primary focus for Rusty.
Both Matthew and Rusty studied traditional art in
school, but Matthew pursued it to a greater extent while
attending the Appomattox Regional Governors School for
the Arts and Technology. There he learned in great
detail about traditional art and graphic design from
some of the best teachers in their fields.
